Ontario EOI System Overview
Under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), the Expression of Interest (EOI) function operates through several processes, including:
- Business Service Group
- International Student Flow
- Human resources
- PhD stream
An Expression of Intent (EOI) must be initiated for candidates wishing to transfer from one of these categories. Detailed information such as educational background, language skills, Canadian and international work experience, income history, preferred location and employment opportunity in Ontario will be provided upon registration. Candidates will be given a ranking score. Ontario regularly sends out invitations to senior individuals to apply for provincial candidacy for permanent residence.
How to register EOI for Ontario PNP
- Create a profile in the OINP Electronic Application Portal.
- Verify eligibility by screening applicants for desired streams.
- Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for one or more streams.
Additionally, compliance with OINP certification should also be a priority. Before receiving an invitation, a certificate must be signed when submitting or renewing an Expression of Interest (EOI). EOI registration is limited to one stream at a time and is free. However, after receiving the invitation, you need to pay the application fee and the specific fee depends on the vehicle selection. The EOI file may be revisited and updated until an invitation is received or the EOI is withdrawn. All Expressions of Interest (EOI) are valid for 12 months or until the invitation is issued or withdrawn. If interest continues beyond this period, renewal may be required.
Post-registration process for Ontario PNP EOI
After submitting EOI, candidates will be placed in the OINP selection stream. Ontario regularly invites top candidates from these pools to apply for provincial elections. The state uses an overall ranking of all EOI registrants or a ranking based on specific characteristics.
The Completed Expression of Intent (EOI) allows the recipient to apply through the OINP electronic application portal, thereby simplifying the selection process in the state. It is important to note that receiving an invitation does not guarantee that applicants will comply with the entire flow process, including previously requested qualifications. Any false, inaccurate or inaccurate information provided in the Expression of Interest (EOI) will result in rejection of the application.
